What do you do to take care of yourself?

Spa days? Massages? Vacations? When asked about self-care, these are often the sort of things that we all think about. But what if I told you that self-care is much simpler, not necessarily expensive, and sometimes doesn’t feel good? Self-care is a super hot topic right now, and quite frankly, I’m a little tired of hearing about it.

Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t because self-care isn’t important. In fact, when you practice true self-care, you are becoming a more pro-active leader (well, and human). But I’m a little tired because we’ve lost what the true meaning of self-care is.

So on this week’s podcast I do a deep dive into what self-care actually is as well as busting some major myths of self-care.

I’ll also discuss healthy, simple ways to do self-care. As I mentioned, self-care is a basic human need, but if all we do for our self-care is expensive spa days and luxury vacations, we’re going to either run out of money, or not actually take care of ourselves, or possibly even both.
