We’ve all heard the term grit. What does it make you think of? Running? Working out? Pain? Being tough? Maybe you’ve heard about it from your grandparents, telling you that kids these days just don’t have any grit. These days, it’s not just your grandparents, but CEOs, psychologists, and great leaders everywhere who are talking about the value of grit.

This week I’m reviewing the book Grit, the New York Times best seller from Angela Duckworth. Grit is all about focus and finding something you are so invested in that it gives meaning, purpose, and organization to your days. It’s about passion and perseverance that will carry you through the noise, the ups and downs, and the self-doubt that comes with setting and working toward big goals.
