Hello there! I’m especially excited to share this week’s episode of the podcast where I dive deep into leading in love and work with two incredible female leaders. Alison Poulson and Ann Steele join me this week to discuss leadership as women leading in their industries. We talk work, we talk home, we talk about how to integrate it all!

Alison Beesley Poulson is a Director of Finance at the Nature Conservancy, and has been employed there for 15 years. She has work experience in Grants Administration, Internal Audit, and Finance. She currently leads a team of eight that provides communication, training, and support to over 100 finance staff located throughout the United States and 35 countries. In her free time she works on the board of directors for two small, not-for-profit organizations. She is married and has 16-month-old twin boys as well as 4 stepchildren between the ages of 15 and 23.

Ann Steele is the owner and CEO of STEELE Strategies,, a woman-owned small business and emerging player in the federal sector, particularly in the area of homeland security. Ann began her professional career in land development, then made a jump to federal contracting as an engineer supporting a large-scale NASA research project in the Brazilian Amazon. Following completion of that project, Ann went to work for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). One of her most significant accomplishments at CBP was to lead all technical aspects of CBP’s $400M Land Port of Entry Modernization Program funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  Ann led the planning, design, and construction of over 30 severely dilapidated land ports, bringing them in line with the Agency’s mission in the post 9-11 world. Ann is married and has two children. She is a 13-time marathoner and passionate world traveler.

We had a great conversation and I’m excited to share it with you today! I hope you’ll join us as we discuss how to thrive in love and work!
