What makes the best teams? Why are there some teams where members would literally lay down their lives for each other, while other teams are doomed to constant arguing, fighting, and instability?
These, and other questions led Simon Sinek to dig into the details of leadership and culture. He captured what he found in his bestselling book Leaders Eat Last: Why Some Teams Pull Together and Others Don’t. The title comes from the marine’s edict on leadership—that the needs of the lowest ranking marines are addressed before those of their superiors. This powerful example lays the foundation for Sinek’s discussion of building a culture of growth and trust.
I’ll share some key insights from this book on the podcast this week, including the pivotal role of the leader in building culture. Join me for this and other leadership lessons.
