Wanting more sleep has got to be one of the most universal desires.

Wherever you go, people are going to bed too late and waking up too early. This is an issue in our world of bright, tiny screens and 24/7 availability to almost anything the human heart could desire. Indeed, as a society we have lost an emphasis on sleep and we are paying a high cost.

As leaders, we are always looking for a competitive advantage, sometimes spending lots of time and money trying to eke out even a tiny advantage.  But then we overlook some of the best solutions because they seem too simplistic, such as sleep.

This week my focus will be not only on the benefits of sleep (we all know sleep is good for us), but more importantly, how to unlock the massive benefits sleep has to offer.

I’ll talk about how–as a society–we are seriously sleep-deprived. I’ll take you through a mini-sleep assessment and I’ll discuss sleep requirements across the lifespan.

After you see where you’re at with your own sleep, I’ll give you 7 tips to improve your sleep. As an added bonus, I’ll share with you my love of naps. Oh how I love napping! We’ll talk about why napping is good, when it’s counterproductive, and how you can use it as a powerful tool for good in your life and work.

Don’t forget to download this week’s freebie on the Benefits of Sleep. It’s an easy-to-read guide you can keep at your fingertips guaranteed to improve your sleep.

Happy listening!
